Background:
Green Trade Company was established by Sub-Decree No. 72 dated 23 November 1998 and amended by Sub-Decree No. 118 dated 3 December 2002 of the Royal Government of Cambodia under the Regulations on Public Enterprises are in the form of state-owned companies and are combined by five companies: (1) Cambodia Food Company (2) Equipment Company (3) Purchasing Company (4) Transport Company (Cam Trang) (5) Campex Sim Company. Green Trade is responsible for maintaining state stockpiles, trading, manufacturing, and services business on basic food and food items directly within the framework of domestic and foreign. Green Trade is a public enterprise that is technically managed by the Ministry of Commerce and Finance by the Ministry of Economy and Finance and has five operating departments, including (1) the Administration Department (2) the Accounting Department (3) the Business Department And Investment (4) Technical Department and Internal Audit Office, Procurement Office.
Vision:
The company's goal is to secure foodstuffs well and guarantee a stable marketing price for the government. The company also wants to make more exports of Cambodian rice to become the number one in the world.
Mission:
- To transport on time and correct destination which government had pointed to people who in disaster.
- To communicate with any other country which interested in buying and opening marketing
- To maintain the marketing principle and reserve the private competition to have a great efficiency.
Strategy
- To push and find more marketing and advertising for farmers
- To look forward for advertising throughout to the world
- To encourage and provide farmers to understand more about choosing kinds of seed
- Making a community in order to define a right price
- Organizing and creating more standard warehouses
- Creating and developing rice through standard
- Caring and giving more transportation in order to make an on time export.
- Finding low credit loan for farmers
- To improve employee’s about standard and technique of developing rice.
